Fire Boat Dusseldorf FLB 2 Drawings & Downloads

Forward
These drawings and downloads are for you - FREE - to use.  (Not for resale or commercial use, personal use only!)  Drawings are available in the popular JPG or PNG formats and the downloads are STL formated files for 3D printing.

Extensive research was made to make these as accurate as possible even though I did not have access to either the real fire boat or builder's drawings.  Any errors (if) are unintentional.  Feedback is welcome.

Forward Main Deck Layout
Here is the deck plan for the extension of the hull by 8 inches (200mm). There are reference marks on the drawing to aid at printing at full scale.  (Tip: For dowwnloading images, select the desired image and use "Open Image in New Tab" then open that tab for the full size image.  Note that this image is only for the extension and the placement of details and parts might not be correct.  The details will be noted as the construction continues.

Forward wall Forward Wall: This is the forward part of the superstructure.  Both flat sides of the superstructure are cemented to the edges of this wall.  There is a slight stem in the left and right edges to accomodate them.  The windshield is cemented directly to the top edge of this wall.  (Note that there are three supporting pylons that are removed after printing.)  No links for 3D model
 at this time.
Windshield   Windshield: This sits directly on top of the forward wall (above).  The thick end sits on the wall and the thin end is the top.  (The part is laid down on its back as shown for better printing (use slicer supports).  No links for 3D model
 at this time.
Fwd-bulkhead   Forward Bulkhead: This is cemented to the sides of the superstructure.  (The windows are sloped and the two side sections are vertical with the holes facing up.)  The actual STL file has the part laying downon its back for best printing.  No links for 3D model
 at this time.
Mid-bulkhead Aft BulkheadThis is cemented to the sides of the superstructure.  This is correct orientation for installing in the model as well as best position for printing.  The ten steps are in a seperate file. They are grouped as to the orientation for installing onthe bulkhead.  These are left and right sets. The outer edges have a slight taper to them to match the taper of the superstructure sides toward the stern.  Best to mark them when the come off the printing bed.  No links for 3D model
 at this time.
Aft-wall   Aft Wall: his is the aft part of the superstructure.  Both flat sides of the superstructure are cemented to the edges of this wall with  the wall slightly aft of the sides to accomodate a rounded edge by sanding.  No links for 3D model
 at this time.
